About the Role

De Palma & Associates is growing—and we’re looking for a confident, capable Paralegal who wants more than just file handling. This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment, takes ownership of their work, and is motivated to advocate for clients from start to finish.

You will manage your own caseload, represent clients in court, and play a key role in delivering strong, practical legal solutions. If you’re someone who enjoys being in the courtroom just as much as you do preparing for it, this is the position for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage files independently from intake through to resolution
  • Draft pleadings, correspondence, and legal documents
  • Conduct client consultations and provide strategic guidance
  • Represent clients in court and at tribunals
  • Prepare for hearings, including disclosure, evidence, and submissions
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date file management practices
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing parties, and court staff

Qualifications

  • Licensed Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a practicing paralegal
  • Proven ability to manage files independently
  • Strong advocacy and courtroom skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

For Paralegals Running Their Own Firm

We recognize that talented paralegals often build their own practices—but may reach a point where they want more support, stability, and growth.

We are open to candidates who are currently operating their own firm and are interested in transitioning their files into our practice. We offer a structured, supportive environment that allows you to continue serving your clients under our firm while benefiting from the resources, reputation, and collaborative strength of an established firm.

Why Join De Palma & Associates?

We’re not your typical legal services firm—and we don’t want typical candidates.

At De Palma & Associates, we prioritize:

  • Advocacy – We take pride in strong, effective representation
  • Autonomy – You manage your files, your strategy, and your courtroom presence
  • Support – You’ll have the backing of an experienced, driven team
  • Growth – We are actively expanding and want people who want to grow with us
  • Reputation – Our firm is known for results, professionalism, and client service

We are building a team of top-tier professionals who take their work seriously and want to be among the best in the field.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salaried position (not fee-split or commission-based)
  • Salary commensurate with experience
  • Performance-based bonus structure
  • Paid vacation
  • Paid sick days
  • Paid personal days

The Right Candidate

This role is not for someone looking to coast. It’s for someone who wants to build a strong legal career, sharpen their advocacy skills, and be part of a firm that values high performance and professionalism.

If you’re driven, capable, and ready to take ownership of your work—we want to hear from you.

Apply today and take the next step in your legal career with De Palma & Associates.
