Full job description

We're looking for passionate Registered Early Childhood Educators, Child & Youth Workers, or Teachers for the role of Before & After School Program Professionals. Our programs operate in the early morning or late afternoon, and serve students who are between 4-12 years of age.

The positions involve afternoon shifts or split-shifts (morning & afternoon), with part-time hours between 13 - 25 hrs per week and a commitment from Monday to Friday.

Program Location & Timing

Before & After School program at Countryside Village PS, Walnut Grove PS, or Robert J Lee PS

  • Addresses: 40 Dolbyhill Drive, 10 Pinestaff Rd, 160 Mountainash Rd
  • Afternoon shifts: ~2:15 - 6:00 pm
  • Morning shifts: ~7:00-9:15 am

Position Description

We're seeking nurturing and creative RECEs or Educators with 2+ years experience to lead Before / After School Programs inside public schools in north-east Brampton. The individual will co-lead the delivery of a kindergarten or school-age program, and support the daily operation of the site. Experience working with students between 4-12 years of age, working with students with special needs, and knowledge of HDLH?, are definite assets.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with children to enhance their participation in activities and the development of their self-regulation and problem solving skills
  • Plan, develop, and implement stimulating activities that reflect current interests of students in the program
  • Create a safe, warm and caring environment

Qualifications & Skills

  • Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario College of Teachers (primary/junior division), or completion of a Child and Youth Worker Program
  • 2+ years of teaching experience with kindergarten and school-age students
  • Proven teaching ability including strong program planning and delivery skills, and the ability to manage a classroom of students
  • Positive and sensitive attitude towards students, families, and colleagues

Hours and Contract Duration

  • Afternoon hours: Monday to Friday, ~3 hours per day (eg. 2:15 - 5:30 pm)
  • Morning hours: Monday to Friday, ~ 2 hours per day (eg. 7 - 9:15 am)
  • Contract is for the 2026-2027 school year, with opportunity for contract extension and additional hours (eg. PA Days; school holidays; or supporting toddler/preschool programs)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
