Maintenance Technician – Full Time (Stettler, Camrose, Wetaskiwin, Forestburg)

Edon is looking for a reliable, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to support our buildings across Stettler, Camrose, Wetaskiwin, and Forestburg. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems on the spot, and taking ownership of their work.

What will make you a great fit

We are looking for an individual with a proactive approach to maintenance. If you have experience troubleshooting along with a passion for ensuring everything runs smoothly, you might be the perfect fit for our team!


To excel in this role, you should be:


  • Minimum of two three years previous experience considered an asset
  • Completed Grade 12 education
  • A clean driver’s abstract and willingness to travel between sites within Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Leduc, Stony Plain, and Spruce Grove
  • Ownership of and ability to carry a sufficient set of tools to perform day-to-day maintenance tasks independently
  • Able to use basic power tools and complete basic building maintenance
  • Basic command of the English language (written and verbal)
  • Exceptional skills in communications, organizational, interpersonal and time management
  • Plumbing and HVAC knowledge would be considered an asset
  • Proven experience in exercising good judgement under pressure
  • Physically fit, able to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time an lift in excess of 25 kilograms
  • Carpentry/Construction skills considered an asset
  • Strong customer care and communication skill


What will your role involve?


As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing general maintenance tasks such as interior door repair and installation, interior painting, drywall repairs, and other related duties.
  • Utilizing a wide range of self-provided hand and power tools, with knowledge of basic carpentry skills including painting and drywall repair, is considered an asset.
  • Supporting building operations and functions as required, including contractor escorts, on-site orientation support, and follow‑up with contractors on completed work.
  • Responding immediately to on-demand service requests and emergencies related to client and building operations.
  • Troubleshooting building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire alarm panels.
  • Completing routine inspections and required documentation, including weekly and monthly checks/tasks, logs, full interior and exterior building inspections, and roof top checks.
  • Performing and tracking preventive maintenance (PM) activities and time‑sensitive reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual basis.
  • Identifying and reporting all deficiencies to the Operations Supervisor and Maintenance Scheduler to ensure consistent, worry‑free service delivery.
  • Using Edon systems and tools proficiently, including work orders, expense submissions, time sheets, mileage tracking, and learning plans, while working independently and efficiently.
