Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Commercial Litigator with 5+ years of experience to handle a diverse workload. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in general litigation and construction law, excellent advocacy skills and a proven track record of success in representing clients in complex litigation matters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a workload of commercial construction litigation matters from inception to resolution
  • Conduct legal research, analysis and drafting of pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients on various construction law issues, including contract disputes, payment disputes, and construction defects
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to efficiently handle client matters and achieve successful outcomes
  • Stay current with developments in construction law and litigation practices to ensure the highest level of representation for clients.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing of the Law Society of British Columbia
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of achieving successful outcomes for clients
