Ordower Law is a busy firm with an eye on the future. We operate in a fully remote environment and cater to clients throughout Ontario. As a boutique business law firm, our specialty is in serving entrepreneurs and small businesses.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Law Clerk with 3+years of experience in Corporate Law to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can effectively support the demands of a busy legal practice.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support lawyers with administrative and organizational tasks like managing schedules, handling client communications, attending to file opening, conflict checks, maintaining client files, and electronic client database.

· Assist in the preparation of documentation for corporate transactions, including asset and share transactions, and handle signature packages and prepare closing books.

· Conduct due diligence searches and prepare summaries as required.

· Organize and manage corporate files, minute books, client records, and transaction materials.

· Prepare and update general corporate records, including changes to directors, officers, and shareholders, and attend to ministry filings.

· Assist in drafting corporate reorganization and rollover documentation.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a law clerk or legal assistant;

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

· Ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize effectively, and track time;

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office;

· High level of attention to detail; and

· Law clerk diploma an asset, but not required.

Salary:

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
