Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Sales Manager to support our team in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth within the food and hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service, and experience managing teams in fast-paced restaurant or hotel environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop managerial expertise while contributing to a vibrant dining or hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue and customer engagement.
  • Supervise daily operations of the restaurant or food service establishment, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage staff including interviewing, training, and evaluating team members to foster a high-performance environment.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to maintain consistency and compliance with health regulations.
  • Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff on food presentation, serving standards, and menu offerings.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Support restaurant management in daily administrative tasks and operational improvements.

Experience

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, ideally with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
  • Experience working with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with team management experience including supervising staff and conducting interviews.
  • Familiarity with hospitality environments such as hotels or bars is preferred.
  • Previous roles involving customer service excellence, cash handling, and food industry knowledge are highly desirable.
  • Additional experience in hotel operations or barista roles can be advantageous for this position. This role is integral to maintaining operational excellence while fostering a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Pay: From $20.00 per hour
