Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in administrative and research tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organizational skills and a passion for the legal field to contribute to a dynamic environment. Prior experience in legal settings, proficiency with legal research tools, and excellent communication skills are highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize an electronic filing system, ensuring all documentation is accurately maintained and up-to-date.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, legal proceedings and maintain calendars for lawyers.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing adjusters or counsel, and other parties involved.
  • Assist in the preparation for questionings, mediations and trials, including organizing documents and coordinating logistics.
  • Manage searches, records production, undertakings lists, and follow-ups
  • Assist with the preparation, filing and serving of legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, and other correspondence.
  • Handle incoming inquiries from clients and provide timely and professional assistance.
  • Perform other administrative tasks and duties as required.

Experience

  • Diploma or certificate in Legal Assistant studies or related field.
  • Minimum 1–5 years of experience in a law firm environment (Personal Injury)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
