Full job description
We are a busy litigation-focused paralegal practice seeking a junior paralegal to assist with Small Claims Court litigation and enforcement matters.
This role begins on a part-time basis and is ideal for someone who wants to build practical experience in litigation while working remotely. As the role develops, there is the option to transition to full-time work.
Because this is a remote position, we are looking for someone who is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while maintaining clear communication with the team.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and preparing Small Claims Court documents
- Assisting with claims, defences, motions, and enforcement proceedings
- Communicating with clients, debtors, and court offices
- Managing file updates and maintaining organized records
- Conducting basic legal and corporate searches
- Supporting senior paralegals with litigation files
Qualifications
- Licensed paralegal
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely
- Comfortable handling multiple files and deadlines
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook and basic office software
Experience with Small Claims Court procedures, collections work, or litigation support is required.
