We are looking to expand our litigation department with the addition of an experienced Law Clerk/Litigation Assistant/Paralegal. The ideal candidate will come to us with a minimum of 3 year’s experience in a law clerk role.

Communication skills are a key requirement for this role, together with organization and the ability to work alone, but also be part of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with a busy and demanding litigation practice;
  • Prepare and complete all necessary litigation documentation such as motion records, pleadings, notices, affidavits, etc.;
  • Dictation and accounts
  • Manage timelines and deadlines;
  • Proficiency with Soluno and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients
  • Ensure all filing is organized and up to date on a daily basis, both physical and electronic

Handle administrative details with respect to calendar management, client meetings, accounting, closing files and docketing

  • Preparation of accounts;
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment;
  • Law Clerk or Legal Assistant Diploma/Certificate from a recognized institution;
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in MS Office applications and comfortable with transcribing a moderate level of dictation;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.

Education/Skills

  • Law Clerk or Paralegal Designation/ Legal Assistant Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years working in a Litigation Law Clerk position.
