We have a great opportunity to hire an experienced, detail-oriented full-time Law Clerk to join a Litigation practice that services a wide range of clients in areas including labour relations, civil litigation, estate litigation, and more.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Management of matters from open to close: intake, retainers, directions;
  • Communicating with clients, court staff, and other third parties by phone and email;
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondence;
  • Reviewing drafted reports and decisions, verifying references;
  • Preparing and electronic filing of various court materials using DMS (iManage experience is an asset) and Primafact;
  • Performing administrative duties: calendaring, bring forward management, tracking invoices;
  • Understand and apply knowledge of The Rules of Civil Procedure

Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the firm.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will possess 3-5 years' experience as a legal assistant/law clerk working in litigation. The candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong eye for detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and able to interact with professionalism and diplomacy.

Compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and role-specific knowledge. We provide fair and competitive compensation in accordance with our internal salary guidelines and prevailing market rates.
