Full job description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced flooring installer. You will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, vinyl and sanding & refinishing hardwood. This is a hands-on role that is physically demanding, requires attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements:
- Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in flooring installation, including hardwood, laminate and vinyl, to be considered. Only applicants who meet this requirement will be reviewed.

- Candidates must have a personal vehicle to be considered for this position. Only applicants who meet this requirement will be reviewed.
- Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and their installation techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools is required.

- Physically fit with stamina for manual labour, bending, crouching, kneeling
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication

- Follow safety guidelines at all times

- Team player with motivation to learn

- Able to be in dusty environments

Tasks & Responsibilities:

-Performing physical tasks such as site setup, unloading materials, and cleaning
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit the designated area
- Prepare subfloors by removing old flooring, leveling surfaces, and cleaning debris
- Adhere to safety guidelines and use appropriate tools and equipment

- Install flooring materials according to specifications and industry standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Accurately read a tape measure

-Experience using hand and power tools

-Communicate well with others

-Good at following directions

-Strong attention to detail
