About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Registered Technologist to join our interdisciplinary team of skilled professionals. Reporting to the Manager of Laboratory Services and Medical Imaging, the incumbent will be responsible for the performance and interpretation of diagnostic laboratory tests.

Hours of work are all shifts, including weekends.

More About You

To qualify for the role, you must be registered with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO). You will also need to have:

  • Completion of a recognized General Medical Laboratory Technologist program;
  • Minimum 3-5 years of recent experience in a hospital histopathology laboratory;
  • Minimum 3-5 years of recent experience in immunochemistry;
  • Grossing knowledge;
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills;
  • Effective organizational, time management and prioritization skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to laboratory programs;
  • Ability to work independently and accurately;
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance Programs;
  • Demonstrated excellent attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history and positive work references.
