Quality Control Technician – Windsor, Ontario

Location: Windsor, Ontario
Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly – Unionized
Compensation: $36.91 Hourly rate
Shift: 12-hour continental shifts

About the Role

We’re seeking a Quality Control Technician who’s passionate about precision, safety, and continuous improvement. In this vital role, you’ll ensure the integrity and excellence of ADM’s food and feed products at our state-of-the-art vegetable oil processing facility in Windsor, Ontario. You’ll be the heartbeat of our laboratory—conducting analytical tests, maintaining equipment accuracy, and ensuring every product meets ADM’s world-class standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct wet chemistry tests and safely handle chemicals
  • Prepare and analyze samples of raw materials, finished feed products (soybean meal, canola meal, hulls), and finished food products (edible oils)
  • Use modern laboratory instrumentation and computerized data systems to record and track analytical results
  • Calibrate and perform minor repairs on lab equipment to maintain reliability and compliance
  • Perform daily quality and monitoring checks throughout the facility
  • Retrieve and manage samples directly from production areas
  • Ensure all testing follows GMP, HACCP, and safety protocols

What You Bring

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic data systems
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of OHSA standards, GMP, HACCP, and feed/food safety best practices

Education and Experience

Three (3)-year diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology or equivalent
OR 8–10 years of relevant laboratory experience in a manufacturing or processing environment

  • Must pass pre-employment medical and reference checks
  • Regular, reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed
