Role Responsibilities

  • Performs manufacturing documentation review to ensure GxP compliance to internal and external regulations

  • Effectively communicates quality needs to Production and Production Engineering Teams

  • Supports Production and Production Engineering teams with Quality processes (ie NCRs etc)

  • Collaborates across functions to ensure seamless operational execution

  • Trains other on and communicates Good Documentation Practices and other Quality principles

  • Meets individual and team performance goals as defined in annual objectives.

  • Maintain established 5S in the work area

  • Support Problem Solving small group activities

  • Look to identify and provide for ongoing continuous process improvement opportunities

WH&S

  • Adhere to Work Health & Safety (WH&S) legislation.

  • Adhere to the WH&S Policies and Procedures of ALCON.

  • Demonstrate commitment to WH&S through personal involvement.

  • Take reasonable care to protect own safety in the workplace and avoid adversely affecting the health safety and welfare of any other person through any act of omission, neglect or misconduct at work.

  • Follow ALCON’s reasonable instructions concerning WH&S in the workplace.

  • Participate in WH&S education and training.

  • Report any workplace hazards.

  • Assist in the WH&S Risk Management process, by being actively involved in the identification, assessment and control of hazards and associated risks in the workplace.

Education

  • A diploma / degree in Engineering / Science / Physics (or relevant experience) and 1-3 years of experience as a production technician, Quality Auditor or Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment (preferred).


Work Experience / Qualifications

  • Experience working within a GxP environment

  • Experience working within a multi-cultural team environment.

  • Experienced in the completion/review/auditing of manufacturing records.

  • An effective communicator (verbally and written) comfortable talking to technicians, engineers, and other technical departments

  • Possess an understanding of 5S manufacturing principles.

  • Possess a safety-focused mindset.

  • Able to adapt to a constant changing and fast-paced work environment.
