Jr Quality Control Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Jr Quality Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting products and production materials to ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will play a critical role in identifying defects, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining the integrity of our quality management systems.

This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments to ensure only quality products enter the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect production materials and finished products for defects in accordance with established procedures and training.
  • Remove and document defective items, identifying and recording reasons for rejection.
  • Report quality concerns and defects to the appropriate management personnel.
  • Conduct internal quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Inspect outgoing new and serviced work completed by the injector department.
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of quality monitoring programs, audits, controls, and qualification processes.
  • Assist with new product development and continuous improvement initiatives by implementing effective quality control tools and processes.
  • Monitor supplier quality and support supplier quality assurance programs, including audits and evaluations.
  • Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, national, and international quality standards and legislation.
  • Develop, maintain, and update quality control documentation and records.
  • Apply quality management principles and methodologies in daily work activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with quality assurance systems, regulations, guidelines, and industry standards.
  • Working knowledge of ISO quality management systems and methodologies.
  • Experience with risk management, product testing, capability studies, and control plans.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Experience creating and reviewing technical documentation, including project plans, test procedures, and design documentation.
  • Proficiency in developing, reviewing, and maintaining quality metrics and audit programs.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong work ethic, accountability, and positive team attitude.
