Your Opportunity as a Licensed Practical Nurse:

You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for managing and maintaining positive, multi-faceted relationships with patients, their parents/caregivers, and their associated healthcare providers. This position will be full time, Monday - Friday. Please note; you will be given time off when the physician is not scheduled to work in the clinic

Your Mark:

- Cultivates and maintains effective interaction/communication with medical staff, physicians, and others to drive the care coordination process and facilitate the continuity of patient care

- Communicates with all members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate the care coordination process for the Neurology Specialty

- Facilitates and provides ongoing communication with patient/family, interdisciplinary staff and third parties as needed

- Facilitates clinical practice guidelines at the patient level

- Provide nursing assessment and plan of care for clients, including medication administration and monitoring, teaching, and telephone follow up

- Follow the code of ethics and practice standards of the CLPNA

- Assist with individual or group therapy as directed and as appropriate.

- Coordinate with other professionals to promote continuity of care and assist families

- Maintain client electronic health records and follows proper protocols for the handling of patient information

Your Skills:

- Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Alberta

- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment

- Experience with Microsoft Office

- Experience with Pediatric populations preferred

- Experience with EMR system(s) *Telus Med Access is an asset*

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

  • LPN/RPN (required)
