Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced cook to join our daycare. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for food service, excellent customer interaction skills, and a strong understanding of food safety standards. The cook will play a vital role in ensuring our children receive exceptional food experiences through efficient meal preparation and attentive service. We would prefer if the cook has Level 1 child care educator certificate.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Serve food to children in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with food handling, ensuring proper hygiene and safety protocols are followed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
  • Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and assembling dishes
  • Support the team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple orders
  • Follow all food safety regulations to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
