We are looking for Shipper/Receiver to join our team in Kingston. The successful candidate will work as part of a team, responsible for all inbound/outbound shipments, loading/unloading of vehicles, completing proper documentation, processing of paperwork, warehousing of goods, and periodic inventory counts.


Responsibilities:

  • Operate unpowered or powered equipment i.e., handcart, pallet jack, forklift, bedmover etc. (certification required for powered equipment)
  • Daily inspection of forklift and bedmovers
  • Pick ordersPrepare shipments including pulling, stacking, labelling and staging. Could also include skidding, crating, strapping, and wrapping
  • Loading/unloading trucks and moving product, equipment or bulk materials to proper locations in warehouse or yard by hand and/or using unpowered or powered equipment
  • Verify accuracy of shipments and keep detailed records
  • Complete required shipping documents
  • Receive orders
  • Load & unload pickup trucks, cube vans, commercial trucks and other vehicles
  • Stock shelves with product
  • Correspond with courier for pickup or drop off when required
  • General housekeeping of work area
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communicator with staff as well as all levels of management
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible to changing needs of the department
  • Lifting up to 22 kg
  • Experience with power tools for skidding and crating
  • Warehouse experience
  • Forklift experience an asset
