Job Overview:

We are currently looking to hire a Electrician - Construction and Maintenance (309A) Apprentice to join our team. This position requires maturity, eagerness, responsibility, excellent problem-solving abilities, independent thinking, the ability to work with a team, and physical fitness. We will be selecting an Electrician - Construction and Maintenance (309A) Apprentice to join our team based on the specifications following:

Expectations/Qualifications:

- Experience in Commercial and Industrial (Preferably)

- Valid G class driver’s license or working towards a G license (clean driving record)

- Have a clean police record check

- Must obtain strong problem solving, and communication skills

- Detail-oriented

- Be able to work with a team

- Experience operating hand and power tools, and fault-testing equipment (preferably)

- The ability to work overtime when necessary - Weekend work (Not open weekends, unless a project absolutely requires it.)

- The ability to promote a positive company image and professionalism to colleagues and clients

- Up to date Health and Safety certificates including (WHMIS, First Aid, Working at Heights, Elevated Platform, Lock Out & Tag Out, Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps, AODA - (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Training), First Aid – (CPR AED Level C).

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position Include:

***This is all under the supervision and guidance of a Licensed 309A Electrician.***

1. Completion of paperwork as per company policy and client requests

2. Troubleshooting industrial systems

3. Installation of conduit and wire systems complete with terminations of conductors

4. Installation of electrical components

5. Installation of electrical systems with efficiency and safety

6. Installing electrical systems with the latest electrical codes/ knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code

7. Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment.

8. Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment.

9. Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.

10. Commitment to safety in the workplace

11. Maintain a clean work area at all times
