Bytown Catering requires a Line Cook Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing afternoon preparation for next day service at Kinaxis. The Line Cook Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing afternoon preparation, demonstrating best practices through hands-on involvement, and providing real-time coaching and support to the team.

Responsibilities and Job Duties

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare menu items to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Prep ingredients for next day's service.
  • Assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and seamless workflow.
  • Supervise afternoon prep shift.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of safe food storage, preparation, and waste management according to guidelines.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of OHSA and how it applies in the workplace as this role will be the key contact for the afternoon shift.
  • Any other duties that may be required for the role.

Qualifications

  • Language: English
  • Previous experience in a culinary role in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent cooking skills and attention to detail in food presentation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • This is an onsite position. Ability to commute or plan to relocate before starting work is essential.
  • Standard hours of work are Sunday to Thursday.
