We are currently seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, upscale environment and takes pride in developing teams, maintaining standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Leadership

  • Lead daily service operations to ensure a seamless and memorable guest experience
  • Uphold and enforce fine dining service standards and steps of service
  • Maintain strong presence on the floor, actively engaging with guests and resolving issues promptly
  • Ensure consistent communication between kitchen and service teams
  • Oversee reservations, seating flow, and service pacing

Team Leadership & Development

  • Train, coach, and mentor servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff
  • Conduct pre-service briefings and maintain team alignment on daily objectives
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management
  • Lead by example and foster a positive, high-performance service culture

Operational Management

  • Manage labor scheduling and maintain productivity targets
  • Monitor service standards, cleanliness, and organization of the dining room and bar
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
  • Work closely with culinary leadership to maintain strong front- and back-of-house communication
  • Support inventory management, ordering procedures, and product knowledge

Beverage & Product Knowledge

  • Maintain strong working knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktail programs
  • Support beverage sales initiatives, promotions, and staff education
  • Ensure staff maintain strong menu knowledge and proper food and wine pairing recommendations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in an upscale or fine dining environment
  • Minimum 5 years of food & beverage management experience
  • Strong understanding of fine dining etiquette and service standards
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary terminology, food preparation techniques, and menu structure
  • Proven people leadership and team development skills
  • Strong understanding of labour management and operational efficiency
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in Hospitality or Food & Beverage Management
  • Wine certification (e.g. CAPS, ISG, WSET or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of wine service, cocktails, and beverage programs
  • Experience managing inventory, product rotation, and beverage purchasing

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 annually (including gratuities)
