Full job description

20-30 hours a week position available for kitchen/sushi preparation position in a Kensington Japanese-Fusion restaurant/cafe. Looking for a long term team member who can prepare sushi quickly and with care is reliable, and wants to grow with the company. Prep cook experience a must, 1 year minimum, sushi experience an asset but looking more for someone who can work fast and learn new skills and technique. This is a startup company so duties are varied and include preparing for the sushi/ food line and training with us to managing orders from various delivery apps, our website takeout and dine in. May also include service when slow, pos/ answering phone, helping customers, and preparation of ingredients, keeping the prep areas organized and clean. Knowledge of food handling safety and allergies, special dietary restrictions is an asset.

We are a unique healthy plant based food business and are looking for someone with positive energy that is open to learning new ways of doing things and expanding traditional boundries. Somewhat flexible schedule. Must be able to work weekends.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
