QA Lab Assistant ~ (12-month contract)

  • Previous experience writing technical reports & creating data sheets
  • Ability to read technical drawings & previous knowledge with measurement instruments would be an asset

What does a QA Lab Assistant do?

  • Perform qualification tests per established QTP and record measurements test results, including electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing
  • Generate test reports as required
  • Failure analysis, investigation, and reporting
  • Respond to root cause corrective actions as a participating team member
  • Other responsibilities as required to support the Quality Test Lab

What do you bring to the table

  • Post secondary student in a technical program (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) Must abide by all Health and Safety Rules and have demonstrated commitment to good housekeeping/organizational practices
  • Maintain good working relationships with others.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the work environment, project teams and relevant job training

Desired to Have:

  • Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Statistical and quantitative methods
  • Reliability and risk management knowledge
  • Project Management skills
  • Good soldering skills, testing and failure analysis experience
  • Familiarity with test fixture and small tooling design principles to facilitate testing processes
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits
