Full job description

Cambria Design Build Ltd. is a medium-sized, project management-based general contractor that has been operating since 1995. Our foundation began in the quick-serve restaurant industry, where we delivered exceptional service and competitive pricing to our clientele. Over the last 30+ years, we have continued to build strong relationships with many of those clients. Through referrals, we have diversified our business model into the Design-Build sector and Airport divisions — all while preserving our roots in franchise rollouts, renovations, and reimaging.

Cambria Design Build Ltd. is a team-focused company that places a strong emphasis on a collaborative environment and an unwavering commitment to health and safety across all job sites. We operate in full alignment with COR® 2020 (Certificate of Recognition) standards, reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement, safety compliance, and accountability.

The Role

Reporting to the Director, Airport Division, the Senior Project Coordinator / Jr. Project Manager supports the project management team across the full project lifecycle — from bidding and tendering through project execution, tracking, and closeout documentation. This role carries greater ownership than a standard coordinator position, with growing responsibility for project delivery, subcontractor coordination, and client communication as a steppingstone toward a full Project Manager position.

Given our Airport division work, this role regularly operates within high-security, restricted-access environments requiring background checks, clearances, and strict adherence to site access protocols.

What We Offer:

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior‑level project coordination support to Project Managers
  • Daily use of Procore for RFIs, submittals, drawings, change events, and documentation
  • Estimating, tendering, subcontractor administration, and procurement
  • Maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project
  • Track costs, commitments, invoices, and project documentation
  • Coordinate communications between consultants, trades, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Support project close‑out and turnover documentation
  • Manage multiple projects and tight deadlines simultaneously
  • High-security/restricted-access site experience (an asset)

Required Experience (Non‑Negotiable)

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator/Jr. Project Manager in construction
  • Direct experience with retail, ICI, or airport interior fit‑out projects
  • Advanced Procore experience (must be very proficient)
  • Estimating or take-off education and or experience (a must)
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and deadline‑driven
  • Valid Class G driver’s license and reliable vehicleApplication Requirement

Please include a list of the last five (5) projects you worked on and your role on each.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Paid company events and team‑building activities
  • Safety‑first culture aligned with COR® standards

Due to the sectors we serve and the flexibility of our human capital, background checks will be required as a bona fide occupational qualification.

Preferred Certifications (Assets):

  • Working at Heights
  • First Aid
  • Health & Safety Awareness in 4 Steps
  • WHMIS (within the last calendar year)
  • Training and/or re-training may be available upon agreement.

Work Remotely: No

You can apply if you are:

  • a Canadian citizen
  • a Permanent Resident of Canada
  • a Temporary Resident of Canada with a valid work permit

Do not apply if you are not authorized to work in Canada. The employer will not respond to your application.

We thank all applicants in advance for their interest in Cambria Design Build Ltd. However, only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
