Full job description

Overview
CDSS is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented summer student with strong written communication skills to make an impact by writing, collaborating, and helping to amplify the voice of people with Down syndrome. The successful candidate will research and draft four feature articles for the fall and winter editions of 3.21 Magazine, Canada's National Down Syndrome Magazine. They will also work with the CDSS marketing team to develop supporting content to promote the articles through social media, emails, and other channels. The role will also involve assisting the CDSS Team in the revision of the CDSS Position Statements to align with the organization's current views and beliefs.

The ideal candidate will have experience writing articles, performing research, conducting interviews, and editing. Experience working with tools like Canva, WordPress, and Buffer are a bonus.

This position is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about journalism who want to make a meaningful impact through their work.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
