As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Systems Administrator who can lead projects, solve complex technical challenges, mentor junior technicians, and help elevate the technical maturity of both our clients and our team.

Position Overview:

This is a senior-level technical role within our service organization.

You will operate as a Tier 2/3 escalation resource while leading infrastructure projects, cloud migrations, security initiatives, and modernization efforts across multiple client environments.

The ideal candidate is comfortable owning issues from beginning to end, communicating directly with clients, and making strategic technical recommendations that improve security, reliability, and operational efficiency.

You should thrive in a fast-paced MSP environment and be capable of managing multiple client priorities simultaneously.

This position is in-person at our Chilliwack office and requires occasional travel to client locations throughout the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership

  • Act as the Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex technical issues.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting across servers, networks, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and endpoint environments.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Mentor and support junior technicians and helpdesk staff.
  • Create and maintain technical standards, SOPs, knowledge base articles, and documentation.

Microsoft 365 & Cloud Leadership

  • Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 environments from initial implementation through ongoing optimization.
  • Lead Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID deployments and migrations.
  • Design and deploy Microsoft Intune solutions for device management and security.
  • Implement Conditional Access, MFA, Defender, security baselines, and identity protection policies.
  • Architect hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.

Infrastructure & Networking

-> Install, configure, and support Windows Server environments.

-> Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms.

-> Deploy and maintain network infrastructure including:

  • Firewalls
  • Managed switches
  • VLANs
  • VPNs
  • Wireless systems
  • Network security solutions

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Implement cybersecurity best practices across client environments.
  • Support SOC 2, CyberSecure Canada, PIPEDA, and industry compliance requirements where applicable.
  • Conduct security reviews and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assist with incident response and security remediation activities.

Projects & Professional Services

-> Plan and execute

  • Microsoft 365 migrations

  • Backup and disaster recovery implementations

-> Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

-> Complete project documentation and technical handoffs.

Service Delivery Excellence

  • Manage tickets, projects, and documentation within PSA and RMM platforms.
  • Ensure SLA compliance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed time entries.
  • Deliver exceptional client service and professionalism at all times.

Required QualificationsExperience

  • 10+ years of hands-on IT experience
  • Minimum 5 years working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment
  • Proven experience managing multiple client environments simultaneously.
  • Proven experience leading technical projects and migrations.

Location Requirements

  • Must currently reside within the Fraser Valley
  • Must be willing to commute to Chilliwack daily
  • Must possess a valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle
