Overview

Join our vibrant team as a Baker, Cake Decorator, and Front-of-House (FOH) Associate, where your passion for baking and exceptional customer service will shine! In this dynamic role, you'll craft beautiful, delicious baked goods, expertly decorate cakes to delight our customers, and provide a warm, welcoming experience at the front counter. Your energy and creativity will help create memorable moments for every guest while ensuring smooth kitchen operations and outstanding service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a lively food industry environment.

Duties

  • Prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and specialty cakes, following established recipes and food safety standards
  • Decorate cakes with intricate designs, fondant, icing, and other decorative elements to meet customer specifications
  • Assist customers at the front counter by taking orders, answering questions about products, and providing friendly service
  • Handle food preparation tasks such as mixing ingredients, portioning batter, and assembling baked items efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food handling and safety regulations
  • Package baked goods carefully for sale or delivery to ensure quality and presentation are preserved
  • Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks with enthusiasm and professionalism

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cake decorating or baking within a restaurant or food service setting is highly desirable
  • Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and baking techniques with attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service abilities with a positive attitude and clear communication skills
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards to ensure hygienic practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
  • Previous experience working in the food industry or kitchen environment is preferred
  • Basic understanding of packaging techniques for baked goods to ensure freshness and presentation
