Full job description

Ace Trades and Technical Institute is currently looking for an experienced Painter and Decorator Instructor, to be able to teach a 6 Saturday refresher certification course in Painter and Decorator at our campus in Surrey.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Journey person Painter and Decorator Instructor with Red Seal endorsement who is capable to teach this certification course.

The candidate should have Journeyman's Painter and Decorator Certification with Red Seal in this trade and at least 5 year of teaching experience in a trade school, vocational college, or a trades person currently working, or retired, and willing to teach.

*CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR THIS POSITION MUST LIVE IN METRO VANCOUVER and A RED SEAL TICKET .
This course is 40 hours long and is taught over a 6 consecutive Saturdays excluding long weekends in Surrey.

Students will be candidates who will be looking to challenge their Painter and Decorator Red Seal Exam.

A caring and supportive approach will be required by the instructor, to ensure success to all students.

This position is contract based per course, and will be renewed for the next courses, based on outcome of the first teaching assignment .

  • This is a 6 week contract assignment, which is required for September, 2023
  • Salary of $60.00 to $70.00 per hour (based on your current experience)

Salary: $45.00-$65.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Painter and Decorator: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Journeyperson Ticket (required)
  • Trade Certificate (preferred)
