Full job description

Location: Edmonton Area – Shop & Field Projects
Start Date: Immediate
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Steady Hours. Varied Work. Year-Round Employment.

Lagrange Mechanical Services Ltd. is currently seeking a motivated and dependable Electrician (3rd Year Apprentice through Journeyman) to join our growing electrical division.

This position will be based primarily out of our Edmonton-area shop and will also include travel to local project sites throughout the Edmonton area. Out-of-town work will be required as project needs arise, so applicants must have the flexibility and availability to travel and work away from home when required.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team, and is looking for stable, long-term employment with a variety of shop and field-based electrical work.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Minimum 40 hours per week
  • Overtime opportunities available
  • Local travel within the Edmonton area as required
  • Must be available and flexible for out-of-town work as project needs arise
  • Occasional shift or modified schedules may be required depending on the project

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical work on modular, commercial, and construction-related projects
  • Install and terminate electrical systems and components
  • Bend and install conduit
  • Pull wire and complete equipment connections
  • Complete generator and cabtire connections
  • Perform electrical installations on modular buildings and trailers
  • Troubleshoot and assist with electrical repairs as required
  • Support shop fabrication and manufacturing activities
  • Perform field electrical work at local and out-of-town project sites
  • Safely operate various hand and power tools
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Follow company and client safety requirements

Requirements

  • Registered 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Electrician or Journeyman Electrician
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction practices
  • Commercial and/or industrial electrical experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
  • Ability to adapt between shop and field environments
  • Must be willing and able to travel locally and work out of town as required
  • Physically capable of lifting, carrying, standing, and performing the physical requirements of the position
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to complete client-required Drug & Alcohol testing, including cannabis, for applicable project sites
