The Job:

PM Servicemen are an integral part of our operations! They are responsible for the preventative / general maintenance and light repairs of our customer’s and our company’s heavy equipment in a safety sensitive environment. This job requires careful attention to detail and the ability to easily adapt to new technologies.

Our PM Servicemen will be motivated, committed and look forward to providing consistent and efficient services. As a career-focused PM Serviceman, these individuals will share their skills and knowledge as they mentor apprentices along their journey. However, opportunities are provided to experienced Servicemen who want to move forward with an apprenticeship as well.

An excellent PM Serviceman will:

• Adhere to and comply with all safety and environmental policies and initiatives
• Complete preventative maintenance and light repairs of heavy equipment in safety-sensitive environments, as per the maintenance schedule
• A technician that strives to provide the highest levels of service and quality of work with Heavy Metal's best interest at the forefront of all tasks
• Highly motivated and self-driven to do their best work every day
• Inspect and document damage and defects
• Operate and maintain tools, equipment and work areas in accordance with company policies
• Monitor and check work or information/plans and organizes time and resources efficiently

Work at the Heart of Canada’s Energy Sector
Based at the Blackwater (remote location closest to Prince George, BC) you’ll work on a 14/14 rotation in a safety-first environment. With 12-hour shifts, alternating sets between days and nights, you’ll rack up 80 regular hours and 88 overtime hours per rotation.

What We’re Looking For:

• A desire to make a difference and take pride in your work
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment, mining and/or construction industry
• Experience with dozers, haul trucks and excavators of all major brands equipment (CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, Hitachi)
• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Superior mechanical aptitude
• Commitment to safety and teamwork
• Strong ethics and compliance to rules and regulations
• Able to pass a respiratory fit test, meet fitness standards, and handle 50 lbs
• Clean Driver's Abstract and Advanced Class 3 License with Air Brakes
• High school diploma or equivalent
