Full job description

The Front of House Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dining room, bar, and guest experience. This role ensures exceptional customer service, maintains high operational standards, leads and develops the front-of-house team, and works closely with the kitchen to deliver a seamless dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all front-of-house operations, including the dining room, bar, host stand, and servers.
  • Deliver outstanding guest service and resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and motivate front-of-house team members.
  • Ensure all staff follow company policies, service standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor labor costs and manage staffing levels based on business needs.
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reports.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the restaurant.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food service and communication.
  • Monitor inventory of front-of-house supplies and place orders as needed.
  • Support sales initiatives, promotions, and special events to drive revenue.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with scheduling and labor management.
  • Food Handler Certification and Smart Serve certification (where required).
  • Strong understanding of hospitality standards and team development.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg).
  • Comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
