Job Summary:

As an Automotive Dismantler you will be responsible for removing various automotive parts that have been requested for sales/inventory/cores while ensuring all company safety policies and procedures are adhered to during the dismantling process.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine hoist inspections to ensure all hoists are safe, properly maintained, and in good working order.
  • Perform the safe removal, collection, and disposal of vehicle fluids—including engine oil, coolant, transmission fluid, and refrigerants—while adhering to all environmental regulations, workplace safety standards, and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure disassembly work order sheets are completed accurately and that all parts are properly dismantled, identified, tagged, and distributed to designated locations.
  • Maintain clean work area
  • Assist with other tasks requested by management

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Mechanical inclined with previous experience in automotive dismantling or repair
  • Solid understanding of vehicle component functionality and mechanics
  • Must possess a variety of automotive tools, including air-powered, battery-operated, and mechanical hand tools, required to safely and efficiently dismantle components from a wide range of late-model vehicles.
  • Hoist Experience
  • Ability to manage, organize and prioritize work
  • Enjoy working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate, must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time efficiently to ensure good productivity
  • must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments
  • Forklift certification an asset
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to move/lift 50lbs
  • Standing for long period of time
  • Working under hoist

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
