Full job description

Hello there! I am a 33 year old active and vibrant woman who uses a wheelchair and I am looking to add an awesome female to my small team of personal care assistants! This is a very limited opportunity and I will be hiring the person who I feel is the best fit!

No prior caregiving experience is required- I will provide you with full training.

This is part-time position with short shifts and is ideal for students or someone with a flexible schedule! Although I use a wheelchair, I am fairly independent and therefore require mainly help for transfers (lifting me to and from my wheelchair to toilet/bed/shower- with minimal assistance when I shower) and household tasks such as washing dishes, laundry, vacuuming, etc, and basic meal prep. You will also be helping me with light physio/range of motion exercises.

Compensation: $25/hour + $4 travel per shift

Hours: Approx 10 total hours per week; typical shifts are mornings ~10:30am-12pm, evenings ~9pm-11pm

Location: Condo near Canada's Wonderland

Requirements:

* Female who is reliable, honest, trustworthy, self-motivated

* Physically fit - able to physically lift a 100lb woman

* Resides within 15 minutes or less from Canada’s Wonderland

* Has a flexible schedule

* Has a driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle

* Able to provide a vulnerable sector check (police check) or willing to upon request

* Must be comfortable around a small sweet cat

This is not a "cash" job (deductions: income tax, EI, CPP; + you will receive 4% vacation pay). You are paid bi-weekly via cheques (and paystubs & T4s are provided).
