Full job description

Carman Community Health Centre is seeking a part-time permanent Clinic Nurse.

Job share position 2 days per week and holiday coverage

Start date: immediate

Description:

Complete a variety of tasks requested by physician-assist with procedures, relay results to patients, assist during visits, obtain vitals and health information, perform foot care, MMSEs, MOCAs, remove sutures, perform dressing changes, administer injections, perform ear flushes etc.

Perform lab duties-throat swabs/strep tests, urine dips and C & S collection, label all specimens and deliver to hospital lab

Answer patient calls and inquiries regarding results and health concerns

Document accurate and pertinent information in clinic EMR

Order and stock supplies and exam rooms

Assist reception when needed

Qualifications:

Graduate of an approved LPN Nursing education program required.

Current Manitoba Nursing license

Personal Health Information Act (PHIA); Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics
