Full job description

Bridal Stylist & Sales Consultant

Amanda-Lina’s – Woodbridge, ON

About Amanda-Lina’s

Amanda-Lina’s is one of the GTA’s established bridal destinations, serving generations of brides since 1995, with family roots in fashion dating back to 1979.

We offer an extensive collection of leading bridal designers in a busy, high-energy boutique environment. Our stylists do much more than show wedding gowns — they build relationships, understand their brides, manage the dynamics of the appointment and confidently guide each bride toward finding her dress.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a confident, outgoing and sales-driven Bridal Stylist who genuinely enjoys talking to people.

The right person is naturally curious, asks good questions, listens carefully and is comfortable taking the lead in a conversation. You should be able to connect with different personalities, read a room and guide a bride through an emotional purchase without becoming pushy.

This is a sales position. Success is measured not only by providing excellent service, but also by converting appointments into sales and consistently achieving performance goals.

What You'll Do

Bridal Styling & Sales

  • Conduct personalized one-on-one bridal appointments from introduction through the final purchasing decision.
  • Build rapport quickly and discover what each bride really wants through thoughtful questions and active listening.
  • Recommend gowns based on the bride's style, body, budget and feedback rather than simply showing requested dresses.
  • Confidently guide brides through uncertainty, competing opinions and purchase decisions.
  • Manage entourages and differing family opinions while keeping the bride at the centre of the appointment.
  • Recognize buying signals, address concerns and confidently ask for the sale.
  • Style the complete bridal look with veils and accessories.
  • Follow up professionally with brides who require additional time before making their decision.
  • Consistently work toward individual sales and conversion targets.

Communication & Client Relationships

  • Communicate comfortably with clients by phone, text, email and in person.
  • Contact upcoming brides when required to introduce yourself, learn more about their needs and prepare for their appointments.
  • Create genuine relationships rather than relying on scripted sales techniques.
  • Maintain detailed client notes so every interaction feels personal and informed.

Teamwork & Boutique Standards

  • Work collaboratively with other stylists during busy appointment periods.
  • Assist teammates with gowns, dressing rooms and clients when needed.
  • Take initiative between appointments rather than waiting to be assigned a task.
  • Maintain an organized, polished showroom and dressing-room environment.
  • Assist with inventory, ticketing and other boutique responsibilities as required.

Who We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of proven sales experience in bridal, luxury fashion, jewelry, cosmetics, hospitality or another relationship-driven sales environment preferred.
  • Naturally outgoing and comfortable starting conversations with people you don't know.
  • Strong listener who asks thoughtful follow-up questions rather than simply working through a checklist.
  • Confident leading a conversation and making recommendations.
  • Comfortable discussing budgets and asking customers to make purchasing decisions.
  • Able to manage multiple personalities and opinions while maintaining control of the appointment.
  • Coachable and willing to participate in ongoing sales training and role-playing.
  • Goal-oriented and motivated by measurable results.
  • Professional, polished, dependable and team-oriented.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and comfortably lift and maneuver bridal gowns.
  • Must be available for weekend shifts and selected evenings, our busiest appointment periods.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage
  • Commission and performance-based earning opportunities
  • Opportunities for client gratuities
  • Employee merchandise discounts
  • On-site parking
  • Ongoing product and sales training
  • Opportunity to work with leading international bridal designers

This Role May Be Right for You If...

You enjoy meeting new people and can make someone feel comfortable quickly. You're curious about people and naturally ask questions. You enjoy selling and aren't uncomfortable asking for the business. You can take coaching, learn from feedback and continually improve your performance.

Most importantly, you understand that an exceptional bridal stylist doesn't simply help a bride try on dresses — she listens, guides, builds trust and helps the bride confidently make one of the most memorable purchasing decisions of her life.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 24.0 per week

Benefits:

  • On-site parking
  • Store discount

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Woodbridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Application question(s):

  • This position requires confidently leading one-on-one bridal appointments, speaking with clients by phone before appointments, managing different personalities and opinions, and asking for the sale. Please briefly describe your experience with consultative or relationship-based sales and why you would be comfortable in this type of role.
