BodyMods is hiring a Technical E‑commerce Assistant.

This position is an in-office, permanent position offering 20-30 hours a week.

Duties & Responsibilities

Product & Catalogue Management

- Add new products, variants, tags, and meta fields.

- Fix product images or assist in creating new ones using AI tools.

- Maintain catalogue accuracy, consistency, and logic.

- Update price lists, linked products, and product data.

- Support ongoing improvements to product organization and structure.

Data, CSV & Automation

- Download, clean, and update Shopify CSV files.

- Use Excel formulas (CONCAT, IF logic, lookups) to manage data efficiently.

- Run scripts to automate repetitive tasks.

- Ensure data integrity across the catalogue and app integrations.

Apps & Integrations

- Update and test Shopify apps.

- Assist in evaluating new apps and integrations.

- Support the development of new custom apps (requirements, testing, and logic validation).

- Troubleshoot app conflicts or sync issues.

Landing Pages & Theme Work

- Create landing pages for promotions, campaigns, and special projects.

- Update theme sections, blocks, and settings.

- Perform small logic fixes using templating languages (Liquid or similar).

Technical Oversight & Problem Solving

- Monitor the store for errors, broken logic, missing images, or inconsistencies.

- Troubleshoot issues across the catalogue, theme, and integrations.

- Identify problems early and propose solutions.

- Support continuous improvement of e-commerce operations.

Ideal Candidate Attributes

- Technical Accuracy & Logic: Strong ability to understand rules, conditions, and data structures.

- Data-Driven Mindset: Comfortable working with CSVs, Excel formulas, and scripts to clean and transform data.

- Open-Source Experience: Hands-on experience with platforms like WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento, or PrestaShop.

- Problem-Solving Ability: Able to diagnose issues and test solutions independently.

- Adaptability: Comfortable learning new tools and adjusting to evolving operational needs.

- Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication for coordinating with internal teams.

- Attention to Detail: High level of precision when updating data, images, and configurations.

Required Experience

- 1–3 years of experience in web development, open-source CMS implementation, or technical e-commerce support.

- Proficiency with open-source platforms (WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento, etc.).

- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (CONCAT, IF, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).

- Basic scripting experience for automation or data cleanup.

- Experience with image editing or AI image tools.

- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across themes, apps, or catalogue logic.

Nice-to-Have

- Shopify experience.

- Familiarity with Liquid or other templating languages.

- Experience with automation tools or scripts.

- Understanding of e-commerce data structures.

Education

- Diploma or certificate in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Compensation

$24-26/hr based on experience

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
