Full job description

This position is ideal for a polished, mature professional who thrives in a luxury retail environment and genuinely enjoys building long-term relationships with clients. We are seeking someone who brings confidence, positivity, professionalism, and a strong sales ability; someone who can provide exceptional client experiences while also helping maintain the elevated standards our store is known for.

Previous experience in fine jewellery sales is strongly preferred, and candidates with backgrounds in luxury retail, real estate, client relations, or management will be especially valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional luxury sales experience to clients on the sales floor
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients and guide them through important purchases including bridal, anniversary, and some custom jewellery
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge and confidently educate clients on diamonds, gemstones, metals, and jewellery design
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain impeccable visual presentation standards throughout the showroom and sales floor
  • Monitor and maintain jewellery displays, showcases, packaging supplies, shopping bags, and presentation materials
  • Assist with inventory monitoring, product reordering, and running sales reports to track product performance
  • Coordinate and execute window displays and seasonal merchandising updates
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales goals while contributing to a positive and professional workplace culture

Ideal Candidate Attributes

  • Previous experience in fine jewellery, luxury retail, real estate, or other client-focused sales environments
  • Previous leadership or management experience is considered a strong asset
  • Mature, dependable, and looking for a long-term position
  • Naturally positive, personable, and confident interacting with discerning clientele
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret a client’s vision and match them with the perfect piece
  • Strong sense of presentation, merchandising, and visual aesthetics
  • Knowledge of gemology, diamonds, bridal jewellery, metals, and current jewellery trends is an asset

At Barclay’s Fine Jewellers, you’ll have the opportunity to work with exceptional jewellery collections in an intimate and elevated boutique environment while helping clients celebrate some of life’s most meaningful moments.

This is a full-time position. Our hours are Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5:15pm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
