Job Summary
We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our team at JK Schmidt Jewellers, a well-established family-owned jewellery store with 50 years of experience. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service in a friendly, no-pressure sales environment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to problem-solve, and a strong work ethic. Reliability and a passion for helping customers find the perfect piece of jewelry are essential. If you are hardworking, customer-focused, and eager to contribute to a growing business, we'd love to meet you!

Duties

  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
  • Demonstrate product features and benefits through effective product demos.
  • Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Maintain an organized sales floor by restocking merchandise and ensuring displays are visually appealing.
  • Utilize basic math skills to handle cash transactions and provide change accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members to foster a positive shopping experience.
  • Manage time efficiently to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining high-quality service.
  • Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries.
  • Previous experience in sales or retail sales is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with customers effectively.
  • Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, but training will be provided.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays as needed.
