Seeking a Master Bench Jeweler

Company: JD Gemeast Jewelers Inc.

Business Address and Location of Work: Unit #113, 550 Alden Road, Markham, ON L3R 6A8

A state of the art company that specializes in fine jewelry-watch repairs, contracting assembly work and manufacturing. We have served several National major chain jewelry companies for the last 2 decades. We are seeking an experienced Master Bench Jeweler.

Full-time, Permanent

Job Duties:

  • Sizing rings
  • Set all types of stones, gems and diamonds in jewelry mountings and fine polishing
  • Perform advanced and challenging jewelry repairs and fixing fine jewelry on a daily basis
  • Fabricate and restore precious and semi-precious metal jewelry based on intricate and advanced custom orders and customer specifications in collaboration with design and production teams
  • Any other duties as assigned by direct supervisor

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of jewelry repair experience in:

o Stone setting all types of settings and jewelry mountings

o Working with diverse materials (e.g., platinum, yellow gold, white gold) and gemstones/diamonds

o Retipping, sizing, soldering

o Polishing and finishing

o Metal work and fabrication

o Laser welding

  • No formal education requirements
  • Must be willing to undergo bench test at our factory for one day
  • English, written and spoken
  • Must be a team player
  • Willing to share skills and knowledge to your colleagues
  • Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Must pass background check

Wage: $37.00/ hour

Hours of work: Full-time - 40 hours per week

Discretionary semi-annual bonus and discretionary merit or inflationary increases in salary possible, depending on performance
