As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our collaborative team. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on technical problem-solving, cross-functional teamwork, and a desire to help shape innovative electrical systems and controls for our electric pump product lines.

Our team is powered by a passionate, collaborative team that values innovation, continuous improvement, and taking care of both our customers and each other. We are renowned for our welcoming approach, continuous improvement, dedication to excellence and genuine care for our customers and employees. We offer competitive benefits and special perks such as fitness/wellness allowance and regular corporate social events for our staff.

About the Role:

The Electrical Engineer will work closely with our engineering, production, and testing teams to support electric pump systems, troubleshoot motor and control issues, and help develop standardized electrical packages for the future. Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Supervisor, this position focuses on power systems, 3-phase motors, control panels, instrumentation, and liaising with vendors and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Support our electric pump product lines with hands-on electrical engineering knowledge and practical assistance.
  • Design, implement, and support electrical and control systems for industrial pumping applications.
  • Troubleshoot and respond to technical questions from production and sales teams related to motors, panels, and instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with the testing facility to support instrumentation, AC power systems, and new electrical setups.
  • Review and evaluate electrical drawings and control panel designs to ensure compliance with technical and code requirements.
  • Assist in developing RFQ packages and communicate specifications to vendors; liaise with customers to confirm control requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally with mechanical engineers on new product development and electrical integration.
  • Participate in the selection and implementation of design and productivity tools as our team continues to grow.
  • Promote continuous improvement across product, process, and documentation areas.

Required Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Registered or eligible to register as an EIT or P.Eng in British Columbia.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, power circuits (including AC and 3-phase), and electric motors.
  • Strong foundation in instrumentation and control systems.
  • Comfortable reviewing technical drawings and evaluating for application suitability and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work hands-on across various departments.

Preferred Competencies (Assets):

  • Experience with industrial control systems such as PLCs, MCCs, or SCADA.
  • Familiarity with Industrial control systems and industrial electrical code requirements.
  • Exposure to programming languages like Python or Java.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar design tools.
  • Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems or instrumentation in test environments.
  • Experience working in production or manufacturing settings.

Why Join Us?

  • Join a tight-knit team that values curiosity, initiative, and collaboration.
  • Get real-world, hands-on experience across product development, testing, and customer applications.
  • Enjoy a workplace where innovation, mentorship, and continuous learning are part of everyday life.
  • Work with a company that values your contribution and encourages career development.
  • Participate in team-building activities, social events, and wellness programs.
  • We are building more than pumps—we’re building a team that supports each other and grows together.
