Job Summary

Join our vibrant team as a Server at Sushi Mura Oak, where you will be the welcoming face that enhances our guests' dining experience! This energetic role is perfect for individuals passionate about food, hospitality, and delivering exceptional customer service. As a server, you will be responsible for providing attentive service, ensuring food safety standards are met, and creating a lively, memorable atmosphere for our guests. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help us build lasting relationships with diners while showcasing the artistry of sushi and Japanese cuisine.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to create a positive first impression
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring efficient communication with kitchen staff
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit, addressing any concerns promptly to ensure a delightful dining experience
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and restaurant policies

Experience

  • Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, especially in sushi or Japanese cuisine environments
  • Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms is highly desirable
  • Strong time management skills to balance multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices in the food industry
  • Ability to perform basic math for billing, tipping, and cash handling tasks accurately
  • Experience in hospitality or guest services roles that emphasize teamwork and communication
