One of Whistler's busiest and most exciting Japanese restaurant is looking for a new leader in the kitchen!

We are looking for an experienced sous chef with a love for Japanese cuisine and who enjoys a busy, fast paced environment. This is a long standing business within the community looking to continue to strive forward and create unforgettable dining experiences.

Duties include:

  • Hiring, training and scheduling staff.
  • Ordering ingredients and supplies in accordance to varying business levels
  • Creating and executing an exciting menu
  • Insure all practices are in accordance to BC food safety standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Controlling and maintaining food cost to meet targets
  • Oversee and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities

Required experience:

  • Minimum 2 years management experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Japanese and English language to a conversational level
  • Minimum Food safe level 1 qualification
  • Extensive experience in Japanese cuisine
