Position Overview

We are looking for motivated and skilled Sushi Bar chef to join our team. This role involves preparing high-quality sushi and sashimi dishes, maintaining excellent food presentation standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the sushi bar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to August 8’s standards.

  • Ensure freshness, quality, and consistency of ingredients.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi bar area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Follow company SOPs (standard operating procedures) for portion control, waste management, and presentation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as a Sushi Chef, Sushi Cook, or relevant culinary position preferred (training may be provided for entry-level).

  • Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques.

  • Strong knife skills and attention to detail.
