Duties

• Thoroughly wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning techniques
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas meet health and safety standards
• Assist with food handling tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and restocking dishware for service
• Support the kitchen team in food preparation activities by ensuring all tools and surfaces are sanitized
• Follow proper food safety protocols during cleaning processes to prevent contamination
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure timely clearing of tables and smooth service flow
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to supervisors

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key!
• Familiarity with basic cleaning procedures and food handling practices is advantageous
• Experience working in kitchens or hotel settings can be beneficial but is not mandatory
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
