Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our team. This role involves preparing delicious sandwiches and other menu items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality food service for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent customer service skills, and a strong commitment to food safety and sanitation standards. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain experience in the food industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to established recipes and customer specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
  • Manage time efficiently to serve customers promptly during busy hours
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and provide excellent customer service at the cashier station
  • Follow all food handling procedures to ensure proper hygiene and safety protocols are maintained
  • Assist with restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels as needed
  • Ensure all food products are stored properly and rotated according to safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environment is preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
