Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Pizza Chef to join our multi-location Acme team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pizza making, food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety standards.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in an expanding fast-paced, customer-focused environment where quality and teamwork are imperative.

A minimum of three (3) years previous experience with pizza making and Italian cuisine in a fast-paced environment is preferred.

The position will be responsible for the prepping and preparing of the Acme pizza program and ensuring food service operations run smoothly, both in a team setting and working without supervision.

Evening and weekend availability is necessary for the position.

Duties

  • Prep and prepare pizza dough, toppings, and sauces according to established recipes and standards
  • Handle food with care, following proper food safety and handling procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health regulations and safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy services

Qualifications

  • 3 years min. previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments, specifically pizza making and Italian cuisine preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well both independantly and within a team
  • Understanding of the food industry standards for meal preparation and food handling
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in all aspects of work
