Overview

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills, work in a fast-paced environment, and engage with diverse customers. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. The Food Server plays a vital role in maintaining high standards of service, upselling menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in compliance with food safety standards
  • Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth operations
  • Manage guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent customer service and guest support
  • Maintain time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Basic math skills for handling bills, making change, and managing transactions
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
  • Experience in hospitality or the food industry enhances ability to upsell menu items and provide exceptional guest experiences
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
