Role: iOS Engineer

Title: AVP/VP

Location: Calgary, AB

Mode of Work: Onsite 3-4 days per week

Experience: 5+

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced iOS Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong Swift development experience and a solid understanding of iOS architecture and mobile application development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable iOS applications using Swift.
  • Build clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
  • Work with UIKit, SwiftUI, Xcode, and iOS SDKs.
  • Implement REST APIs and integrate backend services.
  • Follow MVVM/MVC or other established architecture patterns.
  • Write unit/UI tests and troubleshoot application issues.
  • Collaborate with product, UX/UI, backend, and QA teams.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical decisions.
  • Optimize application performance, stability, and security.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on iOS development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift and iOS SDK.
  • Experience with SwiftUI and UIKit.
  • Strong understanding of iOS architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party SDK integration.
  • Experience with Git, Xcode, and CI/CD.
  • Good understanding of memory management, concurrency, and performance optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have:

  • Objective-C experience.
  • Experience with Combine, Core Data, Firebase.
  • Exposure to automated testing and App Store deployment.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
