Job Title: Junior Day Porter
Company: 400 Taché Ltd.
Reporting to the Director of Commercial Property Management and the Assistant Property Manager– Commercial, we are seeking a dependable, detail-orientated individual to provide Janitorial and Parking Lot duties at 400 Taché Avenue in keeping with Towers Realty Group standards at all times.
Day shift, Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 2:30 pm
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Parking Enforcement and Traffic Duties
- Traffic Guiding:
- Directing flow of traffic for the parking lot, located behind the 400 Tache Avenue.
- Provide excellent Customer Service by answering customers’ parking-related questions in a friendly professional manner.
- Patrol and issue enforcement reminders and notices to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized vehicles or activities.
- Relieve other parking attendants by covering breaks as required by working in the parking booth, for short intervals, which includes charging and collecting payments from parkers.
- Coordinate with Management office for day-to-day, issues, towing procedures, or emergencies.
- Building Cleaning Duties
- Maintain cleanliness for main lobby and vestibule entrances by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping.
- Dust, wipe, polish surfaces.
- Clean accidental spills (as required).
- Empty trash (as required).
- Outdoor janitorial; Shovel, sand/salt (during winter months) & Litter pick-up.
- Clean and sanitize public restrooms (only upon request).
- Take recycling carts out of the building & bring back in twice weekly (only upon request).
- Other duties as assigned.
Working conditions:
Physical Demands: Demonstrate physical endurance, for standing, walking, and bending in outdoor climate conditions (approximately 4 hours daily). Capable of lifting 25-50lbs and performing the daily physical movements required to operate cleaning tools and equipment.
Weather Conditions: Comfortable and knowledgeable at working outdoors in various weather conditions. (All Seasons). Responsible to dress adequately and appropriately for different climates.
Interpersonal Skills: Capable of calmly managing and de-escalating challenging exchanges. Demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with public, customers, and staff.
Safety standards: Must adhere to safety protocols and use PPE provided when handling cleaning items or working in high-traffic areas
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Able to stand outside for extended periods (outdoors) in all weather conditions.
- Able to handle and de-escalate difficult people or situations
- Above average verbal communication skills.
- Ability to submit to a clear criminal record check.
- Demonstrated competence and sensitivity towards diverse populations across age, gender, and cultural backgrounds
