We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our StandardAero Component Services (SACS) group to support our growing Winnipeg operations.

Our bright, clean, and temperature-regulated facility offers a positive, team-oriented environment focused on safety, learning, and long-term career growth.

Shift Information

Day shift Monday – Friday (5 days, 8 hour shifts) with flexible start times.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and empower a talented team of specialized technicians, including painters, mechanics, machinists, machine operators, and quality inspectors.
  • Equip your team with the tools, resources, and support they need to ensure smooth, efficient component repairs while upholding the highest quality and safety standards.
  • Drive operational excellence by solving daily problems, removing roadblocks, and setting clear, motivating goals.
  • Direct the production planning and scheduling process according to sales volume, sales mix, inventory requirements and materials availability.
  • Plan day-to-day operations, assign manpower, authorize overtime and control costs.
  • Coordinate and liaise with supply, sales, engineering and customer service to ensure production standards and goals are achieved.
  • Perform capacity planning for equipment, floor space and manpower requirements in accordance with forecasted workloads.
  • Produce and maintain measures of performance to graphically display performance-related strengths and weaknesses within the cell.
  • Actively participate in the business unit management team(s), assisting with the development and realization of strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.
  • Exercise authority in hiring, training, career development, performance appraisals, salary adjustments, promotions, discipline, health, safety and the general employee relations of your direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • University degree or college diploma in engineering, business administration or related discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous machine shop, manufacturing, aerospace, or MRO experience is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and fabrication methods.
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and make strategic decisions, backed by strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow company instructions, company processes, administrative policies and procedures, and export compliance regulations.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems and ERP systems.
