Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipper and Receiving Coordinator to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our shipping and receiving processes. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the accuracy and timely shipment of orders as well as the receipt of goods, while minimizing shipping errors and ensuring customer satisfaction from our main facility located in Guelph Ontario

Duties:

- Utilize ERP software to perform daily operational and administrative functions.
- Collaborate with the Order Coordinator
- Designing Loadout Diagrams for Outbound Freight on Straight trucks, Roll-tite, flat deck and step-deck trailers.
- Coordinate, oversee and receive (both physically and digitally) incoming shipments
- Inspect and verify received goods against purchase orders
- Ensure accurate recording of received items into the warehouse management system
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies in received items
- Assist in order fulfillment and shipping activities as needed
- Quality check outbound shipments
- Strong customer service skills as the position is customer facing

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar shipping and receiving coordinator role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning Software (Microsoft Business Central preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of shipping processes, including packaging, labeling, and documentation requirements.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation and other material handling equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proven track record of minimizing shipping errors.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and accurately follow written instructions and specifications.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Valid forklift operator certification.
